I purchased this vehicle after reading reviews on the Carrera go Batman racetrack set (which I also purchased). The Joker car that comes with the track received bad reviews on its ability to stay on the track. I thought that this car might handle the track better; therefore, I purchased it so that my 7 year old would have options on which vehicle to race. Overall the track and all the vehicles are fun. However the Batman car stays on the track significantly better than the Joker car or the Banes Roadster. It is possible to race the cars. However, it takes a lot of finesse with the speed and turbo buttons when racing the Roadster to keep it on the track. My son handles the Batman car much better as it is more forgiving and stays on the track with less skill. This car equals the Joker car in its size and ability to stay on the track. If you are purchasing it in order to find a better car than the Joker car, don't bother. Hopefully the company will come out with more cars like the Batman car so that you can truly have a fair race.

The Carrera Bateman race set was purchased for our 5 year old grandson and not only does he enjoy it and operate it with ease but it has given the entire family hours of fun! On an educational level it offers eye hand coordination, teaching control through resistance and timing. The assembly process also offered a learning experience, for it was a great family project and our grandson was involved in every facet of it. Lastly, we have also found this product to be surprisingly durable!
